The microBlog module is our own spin on the latest news module. This version of the module has been created especially for Organica as a way to show your content in a popup box using the facebox Jquery script.

We created this version of the microBlog in the early stages of developement for Organica. Initially it was going to be a single page theme similar to Slider , Scroller , Scroller2 and Fold but the more we worked on it the more it evolved, so now you can use the microBlog module to 'popup' the rest of your content item or use it as a latest news  plus intro module - its up to you.

You get full control over the following options:

• Show the first image in the content item - cropped and resized by the php image resize script by Shifting Pixel.
• Display the intro text for the article
• Set the number of words or characters to be displayed by the intro text.
• Display the date the article was created.
• Display the section and/or category the content item is published in.
• View the rest of the content item in a faceBox lightbox or navigate to the content item.

The module is stripping my formatting from my articles - why?

The module has been implemented in this way in order to make sure that when the text is truncated you dont end up with strange errors in the format due to missing tags. This is a universal solution for the module but it can be changed by editing the bottom of the  mod_microblog/tmpl/default.php file in Joomla 1.5 and the mod_microblog.php file in Joomla 1.0.
